At Hata, the safety of your digital assets is our top priority. This is a new feature that puts more control in your hands: the ability to enable or disable crypto sends from your Hata account.
You can now choose to manually enable or disable the ability to send crypto out of your wallet. This added layer of control helps protect your funds and gives you peace of mind.
How It Works
Enabling Crypto Sends:
Requires multi-factor authentication.
Comes with a 24-hour security delay before you can send any crypto.
You can cancel enabling crypto sends during the cooldown if you change your mind.
Disabling Crypto Sends:
Can be done anytime, instantly taking effect.
This feature gives you full control over when your crypto can leave your account.
Why a 24-Hour Cooldown?
The 24-hour delay when enabling crypto sends adds an extra buffer of time in case your account is ever compromised. If someone tries to enable crypto sends without your knowledge, you’ll receive a notification— giving you time to react and secure your account.
FAQs

This feature allows you to control whether your Hata account can send crypto out via the network or to another Hata user. When disabled, no crypto can be sent out from your Hata wallet.
2. How do I enable crypto sends?
Go to Profile > Security > Send Crypto. You'll need to verify the action with two-factor authentication or passkeys. Once verified, a 24-hour cooldown period will begin.
3. Why is there a 24-hour delay?
This security delay helps protect your account by preventing immediate crypto withdrawals in case of unauthorized access.
4. Can I cancel enabling crypto sends during the 24-hour cooldown?
Yes. You can return to the settings and disable crypto sends again anytime during the cooldown period.
5. What happens if I disable crypto sends after they were already enabled?
Crypto sends will be instantly disabled, and you will need to go through the 24-hour cooldown again if you decide to re-enable it.
6. Does disabling crypto sends affect internal transfers or transfers between my own Hata accounts?
No, this setting only applies to external crypto withdrawals. You can still transfer assets internally between your Hata Global and Hata Malaysia account.
7. Is 2FA required to change this setting?
Yes. You will need to perform authentication using your registered passkey or two-factor authentication methods to enable crypto sends.
