Developing an API enables you to establish connections with Hata's servers using various programming languages. This API facilitates the retrieval of data from Hata, enabling interaction with this data in external applications. Through this interface, you have the ability to access your wallet and transaction information, execute trades, and deposit or withdraw funds within third-party software.
Please note that before creating an API Key, you need first complete identity verification. If you require assistance, you may refer to our article on 'How to Complete Identity Verification on Hata. A step-by-step guide'.
For more details on Hata API, please reach out to us at support@hata.io for access to our API documentation.
Login into your Hata account and select [Security] under the highlighted icon below.
- Select [API Keys].
- Select [Add API Key].
- Enter your Key Label (name of your API key) and click on [Verify].
- Next, complete the required verification methods.
- Authenticator App: Insert the 6-digit verification code from your Authenticator App. If you require more guidance on how to use 2FA, you may read our article on 'How to Access Your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)'.
- Email Verification: Enter the 6-digit verification code that has been sent to your email.
- Once complete, your API key has been successfully created!
Do not disclose your API Key, Secret Key (HMAC), or Private Key (RSA) to anyone to avoid asset losses. If you forget your Secret Key, you'll need to delete the API and create a new one.
