What Is Hata Auto-Invest and How to Use It?

What is Auto-Invest?


Auto-Invest is a feature on Hata that allows users to automate crypto investments and grow their crypto holdings. Essentially, Auto-Invest is a dollar-cost averaging (DCA) investment strategy. On the Hata platform, users can choose the cryptocurrencies they want to purchase on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.


What cryptocurrencies can I purchase on Auto-Invest?


Auto-Invest all cryptocurrencies that are available on the Hata platform. For the full list of cryptocurrencies, please browse through the Hata Market Page.


What payment options are available for Auto-Invest purchases?


Currently, users can enjoy Hata’s Auto-Invest product simply by depositing MYR on the Hata Malaysia platform or USDT on the Hata Global platform.


How to use Auto-Invest?


  • Navigate to the Hata homepage and select the [Hata] icon – [Auto-Invest].

  • Click [Next].





  • Enter the [Auto-Invest Amount]  [Plan Name] and select your desired [Recurring Cycle]. Note that the minimum Auto-Invest amount per cryptocurrency is 30 MYR or 10 USDT.




  • If you would like to Auto-Invest in multiple cryptocurrencies, select [+ Add Crypto] and select the cryptocurrencies that you would like to Auto-Invest in. Note that you may only buy up to 5 cryptocurrencies in a single Auto-Invest plan. Once you are satisfied with your selections, click on [Confirm].





  • Once you are satisfied with all the required details, click on [Create Plan].





  • Click [Confirm].





  • Congratulations, you have successfully created your Auto-Invest plan!





When will my Auto-Invest plan start?

Your first Auto-Investment will begin approximately the next hour on the following day.

For example, if you create a plan on Wednesday, 16 October at 6.15pm, your first Auto-Investment will be on Thursday, 17 October at 7pm. 

Where can I view my Auto-Invest plans?


You can view the Auto-Invest plans that you have created under [My Plan]. You may choose to view [Active] plans or [History] for previously completed plans. 





Click on the plan and you will be directed to the [Details] page where you can find information such as Status, Order History, Accumulated Cryptocurrency, etc. 




How do I pause my Auto-Invest plan?


You can easily pause your Auto-Invest plans at least 15 minutes before the next scheduled Auto-Investment.


  • Navigate to one of your active plans by [My Plans] – [Active] and select on the plan that you would like to pause.




  • Once inside the [Details] page, click on the slider button under [Status] to momentarily pause your plan. To reactivate the plan, simply click on the slider button again.





How can I cancel an Auto-Invest plan?


  • To cancel any of your active Auto-Invest plans, simply head to [My Plan] – [Active] and select the plan that you want to cancel.





  • Click [Terminate Plan].





Where do my assets purchased with Auto-Invest go?

Your purchased crypto assets will be sent directly to your cryptocurrency wallet balance and may be immediately used for trading on the Hata platform. 


What happens to my Auto-Invest purchase when I don’t have sufficient balance to pay for the next cycle?

If you do not have sufficient funds in your Fiat Wallet to cover the Auto-Invest plan purchase, your plan will be paused momentarily until you top-up sufficient funds into your Fiat Wallet.


Hata will attempt to deduct funds from your Fiat Wallet for up to 5 cycles. After 5 attempts, the plan will automatically be terminated. 



How many Auto-Invest plans can I subscribe to?


Each user may subscribe up to a maximum of 5 Auto-Invest plans at the same time.


If you experience a “Plan limit reached” error, please remove your other unused plans. We strongly encourage you to regularly review and remove failed or unused plans to stay within the plan limits.



At what price will the transactions of my Auto-Invest plans be executed?



Auto-Invest prices may differ from those displayed in Hata’s other products such as the Instant Buy/Sell and Exchange. This premium service offers features such as automatic purchases, a fully curated portfolio service, and advanced plan management. 


Consequently, prices for Auto-Invest may vary compared to other products offered by Hata. Please consider this difference carefully before subscribing. All Auto-Invest transactions are subject to the Auto-Invest Terms of Use.


The price of the cryptos purchased will be recorded under [Details] - [Order History].


Are there any fees for using Hata’s Auto-Invest feature?


A small fee of 1% will be imposed for all purchases using Auto-Invest. The actual amount of cryptocurrencies purchased during each cycle will be determined by the prices quoted by the Auto-Invest system. To find out actual fee rates and the corresponding amount of fees charged per transaction, you may find the records under [Details] - [Order History].



Why didn’t all of my transactions in my Created Plan go through? 


In the event that we are unable to execute a purchase for an Auto-Invest Cryptocurrency specified by you in your Created Plan(s), the Fiat Currency or digital assets that were deducted from your Fiat Wallet or Cryptocurrency Wallet (as the case may be) will be refunded to your respective wallet(s). Our inability to execute a purchase for one or more Auto-Invest Cryptocurrencies specified by you in your Created Plan(s) does not affect the execution of purchases for other Auto-Invest Cryptocurrencies. 


For illustration purposes: 

  • You have set up a Created Plan instructing Hata to acquire (i) RM30 equivalent of BTC, RM30 equivalent of XRP, and RM30 equivalent of SOL. 

  • Hata executes the purchase of BTC and XRP, but is unable to execute the purchase of RM30 equivalent of SOL. 


Hata will proceed to allocate the relevant amount of BTC and XRP to your Cryptocurrency Wallet, but will refund RM30 to your Fiat Wallet (being the amount deducted for the purchase of SOL, which was not able to be executed).
